HUNTING

Thousands of acres of wildlife refuge
Private hunting grounds
Some of the nation's best hunting
Located in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway, the Delta is known as one of the most cherished areas for duck hunting.
White-tailed deer
Waterfowl
Eastern Wild Turkeys
Feral Hogs
Rabbits
Squirrels
Mourning Doves
Bobwhite Quail

The seasons are long and the bag limits generous -- and conservation means that you'll find excellent hunting throughout the Delta, whether you go on your own or with a licensed hunting party operator.
Located on the same campus as Delta Council, is Stoneville Wildlife Management Area (WMA)
It is a 2,500-acre parcel owned by Mississippi State University and is located on the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Delta Branch Experiment Station in Stoneville. This area is dominated by bottom-land hardwood stands of varying age classes with some mature timber stands scattered throughout the area.

The Delta is a checkerboard of lakes, streams, and great rivers too.

Deer Creek (pictured above) is also located in Stoneville and runs directly behind Delta Council's office building.

CAMPING & PARKS

GOLF

The mild weather here means you can play golf year-around.

You’ll find golf resorts and courses all across the Delta, from 72 holes to two championship courses, to immaculate fairways and greens. In fact, the cities of Greenville, Cleveland, Greenwood, and Indianola as well as Yazoo County all feature at least one course or more.

AGRITOURISM

It's pumpkin patches and corn mazes in the fall, Easter egg hunts in the spring, picking berries, horseback riding, petting zoos, wedding venues and everything in between. This is agritourism in the Delta, a growing part of the agricultural industry that not only allows farmers to generate additional income, but it also educates those who have never set foot on a farm.

HIKING, SPORT SHOOTING, CYCLING

If it's something you can do outdoors, we've got you covered. From ample hiking and biking trails to recreational shooting, set you scope on the Mississippi Delta for all of your outdoor adventure needs and wants!
